Three American Heroes And Briton Knocked Down Gunman Prevented Carnage.

Three heroes from America and a grandfather from Britain successfully and bravely tackled an encounter on a high speed train traveling from Amerstradam to Paris. The group disarmed an overpowering gunman by preventing a massive massacre.

Two of the soldiers in the group, Spencer Stone, who serves in the US Air Force; and another soldier Alek Skarlatos, served as US National Guard in Afganistan; and the third one, Anthony Sadler is studying physical therapy at the Sacramento State University; and a 62 year old consultant, Briton Chris Norman; a group was formed when they joined Mr. Stone and Mr. Skarlatos, took an initiative in a heroic attempt to stop the suspected terrorist attack.

A student from Sacramento State University, Anthony Sadler was travelling with his childhood friend Spencer Stone, and Alek Skarlatos when they heard a gunshot and the breaking of a glass. Sadler told further the Press that they saw a gunman entering into the train aisle with an automatic rifle.

Sadler continued and said,” As he was cocking it to shoot it, Alek just yells, `Spencer, go!’ And Spencer runs down the aisle,”. “Spencer makes first contact, he tackles the guy, Alek wrestles the gun away from him, and the gunman pulls out a box cutter and slices Spencer a few times. And the three of us beat him until he was unconscious.”

France’s anti-terror police investigator, a spokeswoman revealed that the prime suspect is from Morroccan origin is 26 years old man. He wounded one man with a handgun and the other with a blade according to reports.

While fighting with terrorist Ayoub El-Khazzani on the train, Mark Moogalian an academic at the Paris University, was shot in the neck. The four brave men stepped to knock down the attacker and beat him until they could tie him up.

French Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, said that American behaved like heroes and showed courage and bravery in the most difficult circumstances, without them there would have been a terrible drama.

According to the statement by the President Barack Obama’s official from the White House marked the incident of heroic action that prevented a far worse tragedy.

For this heroic attempt to prevent a terrible carnage, French President Hollande, presented the Legion d’Honneur, the highest honor of France to three Americans and a British Grandfather.

On the medal ceremony held at the Elysee Palace in Paris, Mr Hollande said that Mr Stone and Mr Skarlatos were simply passengers on that day, but they behaved like brave soldiers and as responsible men. President Francois Hollande, praised men for taking action against the face of terrorism.

British businessman Chris Norman spoke in French after receiving the medal, that it was less a question of heroism than survival.

Mr. Norman further added, ‘I hope this doesn’t happen to you, but I ask you to really think: OK, what will I do if this happens? ‘Am I going to simply stand still or am I going to try to be active if the situation presents itself?’.

The gunman denied the accusation of being a terrorist, officials said he only intended to rob the train with guns. El-Khazzani is questioned under the custody of French terrorism police outside.
