Washington – President Obama’s advisors are finally taking an executive stance on Gun Control and the the proposal is being finalized to expand background checks on Gun sales without congressional approval.
The AP Reports:
White House adviser Valerie Jarrett says the president has asked his team to complete a proposal and submit it for his review “in short order.” She says the recommendations will include measures to expand background checks.
No one really knows the exact details of what the bill will contain and how it will affect Americans. More than half of the US popualtion opposes stricter control of guns, and since the terror incidents in San Bernardino – Gun sales are on the increase. Concealed weapon permit aplications are increased and many citizens are arming themeselves to protect themselves against Terrorism. You have to ask yourself if these new gun controll measures will be enough. Only time will tell.
We all aggree that background checks should be done to ensure only the right people get guns, but we must also remember that our constitution is built on our rights to protect ourselves and we hope the president and his people do not take that away – opening us up to extremism. For now we wait.
